Systems Integration Technician

This position is based at Human Circuit’s Corporate Headquarters and Integration Lab in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Systems Integration Technicians build audio/video systems in-house and on-site by applying knowledge and understanding of signal flow, cable types, terminations, networks, and equipment installation. A Systems Integration Technician always operates under the direction of a Human Circuit Project Supervisor, Manager, or Supervising Engineer.

Responsibilities:

  • Install a comprehensive range of Broadcast, Audio Video, and IT solutions customized to client need and infrastructure.

  • Work within live production environments that include cameras, mixing consoles, video switchers, encoders, and control systems.

  • Install and connect IT networks and equipment that support AV and Broadcast operations involving routing, switching, and data storage that is specific to multimedia content.

  • Read and understand system schematics, drawings, and statements of work.

  • Perform cable pulls between destinations, through ceilings, floors, walls, and conduits.

  • Terminate cable with solder, crimp, and punch down connections.

  • Work with Human Circuit’s Technical Services Manager to troubleshoot and support systems.

  • Adhere to Human Circuit’s system integration standards, ensuring high-quality video and audio signal integrity.

  • Maintain a safe and organized work area that complies with safety and OSHA regulations both in-house and on-site.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Must be able and willing to do the following:

  • Learn and take directions.

  • Work and communicate in a team environment.

  • Comply with jobsite security, safety and screening requirements.

  • Comply with the policies as defined in Human Circuit’s Employee Policy Manual.

  • Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance.

  • Lift up to 50lbs.

  • Climb ladders and scaffolding.

  • Use power tools.

  • Comply with OSHA requirements.

  • Work overtime and/or travel out of town as needed per project requirements.

  • Uphold a courteous and professional attitude towards clients and coworkers.
